Description
This programme is designed for teams working remotely and uses a business simulation and psychometric evaluation (PRISM) to give participants the opportunity to understand and develop their teamworking skills.
They will also learn how to approach and make complex decisions in a way that ensures the team, and organisation, can successfully deliver against its strategic goals.
Individuals participating in this simulation will be able to:
- Appreciate the commercial reality of the organisation
- Turn the agreed strategy into effective business decisions
- Understand more about themselves, their core skills and development areas using their PRISM evaluation
- Identify their unique skills and how to work with colleagues to get the best from them
The outcome will be a greater appreciation of the factors to consider when making decisions and enhanced collaboration within the team.
More about PRISM
PRISM is a revolutionary way of identifying people’s behavioural preferences and the ways they adapt at work. It does this from the perspective of the most up-to-date neuroscience rather than psychological theory.
After completing an online assessment, individuals are given a summary of their profile with explanatory supporting materials and time with a certified coach to discuss the findings. This helps them understand their potential and what holds them back.
This can then be used when they undertake the simulation with the team. It’s a proven way of helping people immediately improve how they manage relationships and their approach to decision-making. Combining a simulation with PRISM means people are equipped to take everything back to the workplace and confidently apply it to their role and the challenges they encounter. Overall, it generates a positive shift in capability, mindset and working relationships.
Lawn Trimmers Business simulation
The realistic design of Lawn Trimmers allows participants to experience what it’s like to make tough and complex business decisions. It demystifies key business issues, tests people’s strengths under pressure and develops their commercial acumen.
Can they rigorously analyse information, debate the relative merits of a strategy, and make robust decisions in the face of stiff competition, while providing what the customer needs at a cost the business can afford? You’ll find out.
The simulation offers powerful insights into core business concepts such as business planning, market segmentation, costing, pricing and return on assets. Success depends on the participants’ ability to survey the market, establish the characteristics of the product to be offered, devise a suitable marketing strategy and create a production facility appropriate to the probable level of sales.
Lawn Trimmers provides an ideal opportunity for participants to consider how decisions are made and assess whether they have a robust decision-making framework, which uses all of the team’s skills and capabilities.
