Our Company and Values
Elgood started in 1972,inspired by Chris Elgood who believed that incorporating games and simulations into mainstream learning and development activities would be fun and effective. Chris was a great believer in making learning fun.
Over the years Elgood has designed products for use in a wide range of industries and sectors.
Our expertise is our focus on experiential learning, our ability to help clients identify the core problem and create a simulation that encourages people to experience new things and see a situation from an alternative perspective.
Game Design
Elgood started designing and using management games and business simulations long before the word Gamification came into existence.
We were a major contributor to the Book Gamification for business which provides evidence and examples of how using games and simulations can help organisations and individuals develop and grow.
At Elgood we like to start with the problem and some good searching questions, so we really understand the issue that needs to be addressed and what people need to do differently.
We use the term ‘gamification with purpose’.
