Our Team, Our People

Christine Elgood joined the business in 1996 as the Managing Director after completing an MBA with experience gained in the financial areas of manufacturing and retailing.

As well as setting the strategic direction for the company she is the main designer working with clients to identify the core issue and decide how best to model the situation to develop people’s skill, understanding and ability to take action. Her business qualifications are complemented by training (CTP: Certificate in Training Practice) and coaching (ILM: Institute of Leadership and Management) qualifications.

Roger is an actuary who has spent the last 11 years developing and delivering educational material, working with Elgood Effective Learning since 2004.

Previously, he spent 18 years in senior management in the UK and South African insurance industries, most notably as Managing Director of Lloyds Bank’s insurance subsidiary. Seven years in consultancy followed, providing corporate advice to banks, building societies and insurance companies.

Mike is an experienced Programme Manager, during his career he has worked across a number of diverse industries, including Telecommunications, Engineering, Retail and Security Products.

He has defined; planned and managed Programmes with budgets of up to £20M, his last major programme was the delivery of the polymer £5 and £10 for the Bank of England, as the De La Rue Programme Manager. He has been working with Elgood Effective Learning since 2006.

Duncan has 30 years’ experience in IT consulting and service management roles and in sales and consulting enablement roles as a program manager and designer, facilitator, coach and trainer.  

He is skilled in designing and delivering programs for identifying and improving performance gaps for individuals, teams and managers with skills assessment centres, bespoke workshops and business simulations. His qualifications include being a Certified PRISM and DISC Coach, 360 coach and Master NLP Practitioner and a certified Marshall Goldsmith SCC Coach. 

Sarah helps organisations develop the team and individual capabilities required to make better decisions and execute them effectively. She blends her knowledge of tools such as Hogan and Team Coaching 360 with pragmatic experience to fit the context of client organisations.

She has over 20 years of experience across numerous sectors and has worked with some of the biggest and most successful organisations in the world as well as some of the most exciting and innovative companies of the future.
